Hmm, very strange, I don't think I have heard anyone report such a thing before, I hope that not many people have this problem. 
Are you using any anti-virus software? In that case, please try to deactivate it and see if the problem still remains after this. Otherwise, please see if you can test it on any other computers (preferably having the same operating system version).
PS. The program could potentially behave strange like that if an attempt has been made to crack it, or if someone tries to use an illegal license in any other way, e.g. a stolen serial number, but I'm sure you haven't tried that.
