Access violation at address 00473ED6 in module 'mp3tag_s.exe'. Read of address 00000028. (It's always address 00000028, and the current operation / file varies). Posted by: Mooga on Nov. 19 2002,15:12 I can now reproduce this using just 2 files. Unfortunately one of them is 135MB so I can't really send it to you. I have discovered a few things though, so starting with the sequnce of events leading up to the error.... I have two files in a folder one large (135MB), one smaller (13MB). I right-click the larger in Explorer and edit in tag studio. Now I do a mass clean up tags and remove ID3v2 tags. (Up to this point I'm just getting the files in a state required to reproduce the error). Now select Browse Edit Tags & flags Write to both must be selected and Advanced ID3v2 Info must be selected. (I don't get the error otherwise). Click the large file and change one of the tags. Write the changes (obviously being a large file this takes a few seconds, but always works OK). Click the small file and change one of the tags. The error window now pops up. Now I've got something that works I'll try trimming the large file and see if I can still reproduce it. (My PC has 256MB of physical memory so large files should not be a problem. In any case, I wasn't using such a large file on earlier occasions when this error occurred). Will keep you posted. And btw, there is no problem at all for me to receive large files like that, I can easily set up an FTP for you to upload them (as long as you're on a connection that can handle it of course). But of course it would be smoother with smaller files, so if you could find those it would be great too. It does have some junk data (zeroes) at the start of the file, but if I use the repair facility first I still get an access violation. So I expect it has something else wrong with it too. The file is 2.4MB so I could e-mail it for examination.
