MS Media Player displays erroneous bitrate information for VBR mp3 files unless the TLEN tag is set.  I would like to modify all my VBR files (all my files - VBR or not, would be fine) so that this tag is set.  I have played with my (registered) 3.05 version for quite awhile and can't figure out how to do the <V2_TLEN> set correctly.

Does anyone know how?

You can set the TLEN field in e.g. the mass set tool or the browse tool. But if you by "set correctly" mean to automatically set it to the correct length for the file, this is not currently possible.

A workaround would be to create a list containing the filename and the length field for all files, then use a third-party program to convert the playlength from m:ss format to millisecond format in the list, and finally importing the list to the TLEN fields by using the "Tag/Rename from list" tool.
