Did you ever incorporate support for the explorer shell extension in 64 bit windows? I have a new computer and was able to install and register 3.5b22 (by setting the date back, etc.) but now I remember why I stayed with 32 bit windows on my previous machine! Repeating my offer from about 4 years ago, I'm more than willing to purchase a new copy (even two) of the program to get this feature - addictions are hard to break. Best wishes, Steve Sobel ps - if anyone is aware of a workaround for this, please let me know! Posted by: Magnus Brading on Oct. 21 2014,23:49 Sorry, no 64-bit version yet. Here is a workaround though: < http://support.microsoft.com/kb/895561 > Short version: Start the old 32-bit Explorer with the following command-line, and it should show the Mp3/Tag Studio shell extension as usual: C:\windows\syswow64\explorer.exe /separate (the path to your Windows folder might vary, but the rest should be the same though) A second workaround, even though I haven't tried it myself and can NOT make any promises or guarantees about it, is this utility: < http://www.gasanov.net/WOW64Menu.asp > It lets you load 32-bit shell extensions in the 64-bit Explorer. end |
