I'd like to see an option to be able to Captialize the first letter of every word.

Also if i have a file name such as

Artist - 01 - The Song Name

it gets changed to

Artist - 01 - the Song Name because the is listed as one that should stay lowercase, it'd be nice to make it possible to have those words somehow changed after the casefix (like - the changed to - The), i guess i could add this in myself?

Whenever you can, you should casefix the tags, and then auto rename the files based on the tags (i.e. and not casefix the filenames directly, as in your case).

But to solve your problem, simply add the dash ("-") to the "Sentence terminators" box in the case fix settings, and it will work out for you.

If you want the first letter of every word to be capitalized anyway, simply clear all words from the "Not to be capitalized" box in the case fix settings.

Also, you can use the "substring replacements" feature to perform any custom replacements, yes.

Cool...

The sentence termination thing worked perfectly for me.

In my case (no pun intended), i dont use tags so renaming from tags doesnt really help me... Im thinking about tagging all of mine from the filenames but i dont really see a reason yet.

I use Winamp 2.81 which doesnt have a media library really so the filenames give just as much information as i need.. My naming scheme is as follows

For directories:
Artist - Year - Album Name

Songs:
Aritst - Track # with leading 0 - Track Name

Each album is in the right folder so it has all of the info that i need! :)

I'm at work right now (great suggestion, Magnus!  ;) ), so I can't check this out, but I tried last night briefly.  Right-clicking on an mp3 file in Explorer, the case fix only does standard English (well... or none... DOH!;).  Is there any way to have the right-click option use what I've customized in Tag Studio?

Hmm, which version are you using? In 3.x there is a submenu from which you can choose between all presets that have been saved inside Mp3/Tag Studio, just to be able to do exactly that.

If you are using 3.0, please try to replace all copies of the file "mp3tsshx.dll" on your harddisk with the one located in the Mp3/TS install dir, and it should work. If you are using Windows 2000/XP, that stupid auto-dll-cache can play some tricks on you (and on the Mp3/TS shell extension upgrade code :().

Thanks, I'll check that out.  I've got a feeling I may not have SAVED my presets for case fixing and just set them and exited.   :ashamed: I'm using 3.01 and made sure I uninstalled the previous versions, but it's still possible that the dll file is in the cache, like you said.

:ashamed:  DOH!  That was it...  it really helps if you save the setting you intend to use!

Someone slap me...

OUCH!  I was kidding!

Thanks!
George
