-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: 'Field separator sequence' field loses focus started by nix Posted by: nix on Sep. 04 2005,21:41 Hi, I'm in a hurry so I don't have time to register now or search trough the topics if this phenomenon had been reported, so sorry, if it's a double post. I usually drag the mouse pointer a little away from the textfield or whatever I clicked on after the clicking so it doesn't interfere with the text. So after I click into the 'Field separator sequence' textfield on the Auto tag tab, my pointer usually ends up hovering somewhere over the 'Expected file format' field. But when it happens, the 'Last selected file in browse mode' pop-up pops up, wich prevents me from entering anything into the field or use Tab to move between the fields/controls. This didn't happen in beta 9 (i just installed beta 14 without saving my prefs first It might be easier to me to break this habit than changing the behaviour of MP3TS, but personally I think that a non-popup solution would be better. Oh, two more things: I don't seem to find a list of the available key commands in the help file, and overwriting/deleting my prefs/presets when installing a new beta was a bitter experience for me, could make it easier to export/import? Thanks, -nix Posted by: nix on Sep. 04 2005,21:42 Sorry, I meant beta 15. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 05 2005,09:38 The field separator sequence field seems to be a special case in regard to this focus issue, and I will look into it. But I can assure you that this has not changed between the recent betas, so it is most likely that you just didn't put your mouse in this area while editing this field before. About the help file, any hotkeys are listed in the sections they belong to, e.g. the browse tool help file section has a bunch of hot-keys listed. About the settings file, it should be automatically saved between upgrades/installs, but I think there was some problem with the installer regarding this in the last few betas (but if you have an older settings file, you can simply copy it over the new one while the program is not running, and it will import all settings in it when you start it again). end |
