I am having a problem.  I have a bunch of files that I ripped with the filenames looking like this:

Girls Girls Girls ~ 1987 (01) Motley Crue ~~ Wild Side ~ Motley Crue.wav

The problem is, they should look like this:

Girls Girls Girls ~ 1987 (01) Motley Crue ~ Heavy Metal  ~ Wild Side ~ Motley Crue.wav

I need to get them fixed so I can run a .bat script that I have.
I have about 100 files like this and I don't want to edit them one by one.  Can this software help? If so how?  Pardon my ignorance if there is some easy way to do this I am new at this.

Mp3/Tag Studio is in first hand designed to work on mp3 files, but the direct rename tool can process any type of file.

Use the "Direct rename files" tool with the following settings, and it will fix your filenames:

Expected template (advanced mode):
Code Sample
<Custom1> ~~ <Custom2>.wav


Output template (advanced mode):
Code Sample
<Custom1> ~ Heavy Metal ~ <Custom2>.wav


Press execute, and you're done.

THanks for the help.  You saved me alot of trouble.  I'm glad I registered my copy of MP3TagStudio.  Saved me many countless hours of tag editting manually.
