There is always a possibility that I have missed some simple thing here, but given what I know I have the following suggestion.

To select a folder one clicks on "browse", then navagates to the desired folder.  Even though it is high lighted, one must double click it, and then click "OK".  It would seem that one or the other of these actions (double-click OR "OK") should be sufficiant.  Dispite several months (yes, I'm a fairly new user) of use I still find myself in the wrong place due to leaving out the double-click.  Is there a reason that the folder must be pin-pointed twice?

This is standard behavior for the older generation of Windows controls. If you want more modern type behavior (single click), please use the explorer dirtree, which you can activate with the checkbox under the working directory text field.
