Ok,
I would like to know if any of you know how to do the following or if its even possible.
I have a lot of mp3's with missing tag fields:genre , track , year etc.
I want to be able to work on a list of files I've created using 'listmaker' (mp3 ts)
I created a list of files that had missing genre fields.
Now the question is how can I get them to display in mp3/ts so that I can work on them?
A bit like in the 'Browse/Edit tags & flags' function. where all your files are there to edit 1 by 1.
Would I have to copy each one to a temp folder and then use the 'Browse/Edit tags & flags' function?
Or maybe I can some way make the list create copies of the files and put them in a temp folder (a big list makes a very large temp folder).
I know its right in front of me but I have large thick glasses and I cant see it.

You can move the files to a temporary folder (hence taking up no extra space on the disk at all), by using the auto rename tool with a template like:

c:\temp<\><OldFileName>

This way you can also very quick and easy sort out the exact files you want to work with, e.g. the files that have an empty genre field, by using the filter with this operation.
Then you can work with the tags of these files using the browse tool, just as usual.
If the files were all originally in one directory, you can move them back when you're done just using a normal file manager (e.g. Explorer).
If the files were originally in many different directories, you can move them all back to the original locations by doing a simple undo in the auto rename tool (as long as you have not renamed the files and not used the auto rename tool for something else since the first move).

Where does that template go? Where do I type it in?

The template goes in the "Output filen ame format" box. And you have to check the "Advanced mode" checkbox to be able to edit the text in that box directly.
