I haven't used tag studio in serveral months. I had 2.17 installed and just tried running it and once it started all its window content started jumping up and down. So even though 2.17 used to work on XP I figured I'd try downloading 3.0 to see if that solved the problem. No luck. Can anyone help? I tried disabling the hardward acceleration features of XP. I also changed my screen resolution to several different settings. No luck. It appears to be a problem inside the code because it looks like the window contents are caught inside some resize loop. I literally have such a headache now after watching that window jump while I attempted to solve this problem. This problem can occur if you are using certain non-standard Windows appearance settings. You can read more about this in the help file under "Known problems". Posted by: Skirge01 on Aug. 14 2002,03:04 I noticed the flickering and did what you suggested with the -noresize parameter. That worked. I did some other testing, too. I unloaded Stardock's Windowblinds and then loaded Studio up and it didn't flicker. I REloaded Windowblinds and it still didn't flicker. I added the -resize parameter and it STILL didn't flicker. Now I actually cannot get it to flicker again. The only thing I didn't try was rebooting. I'll let you know the results the next time I reboot. This is weird! I remembered to test Tag Studio on reboot. Well, I'm still running it without the noresize parameter and it starts up perfectly. I then closed it down and went into WindowBlinds and told it to skin Tag Studio. I started it up and not only no flickering, but it skinned it for me! I don't know what the heck caused this change, but it's pretty cool when things get messed up and are suddenly fixed better than before! Sure wish that happened more often. Choose "properties" from the menu that will appear. 3. In the box labeled "name" or similar (the one which contains text that ends with the string "mp3tag_s.exe"), do the following: 3a. Enclose the current contents of that text box in quotes. 3b. Append the word "-noresize" after the current contents, with a space inbetween. 3c. The contents should now look something like the following (the path might differ on your system): ---------------------CODE SAMPLE------------------- "C:\Program Files\Magnus Brading\Mp3-Tag Studio 3.0\mp3tag_s.exe" -noresize ---------------------CODE SAMPLE------------------- 4. Press the ok button. 5. You can now use this icon, and the program will be started with the command-line parameter "-noresize".
