So, yes, I am a dolt, and I have not saved the appropriate e-mails, so here is a question that other idiots, like myself, can benefit from an answer:
I have a registered version of 2.18. If I download 3.0, do I have to re-register?

I wondered the same thing. That makes two people, so it's no longer a stupid question!
I thought maybe I'd need to purchase 3.0 and then I'd get all future updates for free. So, I just installed it to a seperate directory and tried my registration code in the new one.The answer to your question: If you have your 2.18 registration code, no you do not have to register again.

The reason that I don't want to put this one in the FAQ is that it only affects registered users, not everyone, but also foremost that the question is a bit sensitive from a security viewpoint (it gives some unnecessary hints to potential crackers). Hence, people will have to mail me about it, or ask it in the forum themselves (if they don't find the old answers by using the forum search function, which is a very useful feature btw). I hope you understand.
