'lo all, couldnt really find the search function so, hope it hasnt been covered a gazillion times already.

here we go; I want all my mp3 fiels to look this way "Artist - track (mix).mp3". since most filenames are a mess, i use the browse/edit function to clean up the tags to my liking and then use autorename from tags. I use the casefix and replace function to generate the filenames i want and to exclude some strings from being manipulated.
output fileformat = <Artist> - <Title>.mp3, field separator = -

even though i tell it to only manipulate either artist or title it keeps manipulating both fields. I tell it to lowercase all but only tick title field and then use another run advanced mode only to apply for the artist field.
aint working, manipulates both.

any ideas?

Does it always manipulate them both in both sweeps, or are you talking about the end result after you have done two sweeps? When using the auto rename tool you cannot expect it to remember what you did in the first sweep while processing the second sweep, if that's what you mean? You should use the direct rename tool for the second sweep instead in that case.

Anyway, I just tried to do a single sweep (with the template you mentioned) where I told it to only lowercase the title field, and it worked perfectly?
