MP3TS must have the standard Windows Explorer file/folder manipulation functionality. The purpose is to remain within MP3TS and do all the necessary files/folders management from inside the program without having to go out to do it.

The standard Windows file management tools are, for instance, to right-click over one or more selected files and get the usual and friendly list: Copy, Move and Delete file, and Rename file (just for a single file). I also mean to add all the Windows Explorer functionality to the folders and files lists: the "Drag & Drop" facility, the create/rename folder functions, the usual Explorer file information (size, date, etc) and so on. No need to explain too much because everybody know the Windows Explorer and know what I mean.

Magnus, I guess your answer before you make it. All of us know that you are deeply in love with the "absolute path mode" function. But it stinks old DOS command functionality and it is everything but user-friendly. MP3TS is by far the best MP3 manager and deserves to go with the current times. Maybe a new refashioned version having this features be worth of paying the registration fees.

Well, since you already guessed my answer I guess there's no need to post it.

And as a general tip to you, in order to get more of your suggestions for different software actually realized, you should probably consider having a somewhat more humble approach...

Magnus, I didn't have the idea that you were going to take my suggestion in such offensive way. That was not my intention. Sincerely, I beg your pardon.
In fact I tried to be humorous. Maybe because I'm not used to use emoticons you didn't catch it. Or perhaps because our cultures are different your level of "offensitivity" is higher than mine. Anyway I'm a 50 years old good big boy and my concept of life does not include make harm to anybody. Sorry if our senses of humor are different...
Well, regarding my suggestions... Any comment?

If I can step in here for a second... I've worked on a few projects that require language translation, and I've noticed that certain words do tend to have more "force" in English than in other languages.

el_viejo_apa: the word "must" is one that many native English speakers (and many Northern Europeans) will perceive as a command or as a criticism, especially when referring to someone's work or efforts. A good replacement word might be "should". A more diplomatic tone can be achieved in English when suggestions are phrased as questions or wishes: "I wish that MP3TS had more standard Windows Explorer functionality. Could this be so?"

Magnus: Have a coffee and take it easy, bro  :)

Apologies for trying to be the UN, just my 2 cents.

Ok, ok, comments:

I've never liked Windows Explorer myself. I find it clumsy, slow, and very inefficient. Hence, I don't like programs that model their user interface after it either, which of course makes me even more reluctant to do so in my own programs.

Sure, it could be a nice additional feature that some people would like, but since the controls I'm currently using don't support this kind of thing, it would require quite the work effort to accomplish it. Since I have quite limited time, I'd much rather put my development time into features that are more useful and in line with the main functionality of the program. I have to do the same prioritization with all such peripheral features that are suggested.

Finally, another tip: The usage of humour in the form of irony/sarcasm in written language (and especially without the use of emoticons/smileys) require a quite high level of skill in the used language. I suggest you stay away from it until having improved your english skills, instead of blaming the receiving party of having a bad sense of humour. But sure, apology accepted.

And to the UN, how do you explain the following phrase on the basis of translation errors: "Maybe a new refashioned version having this features be worth of paying the registration fees"...

Also, I don't like coffee. :p

Heh, I think (logically) the way you respond to that is going to be stronger than my reaction. But I would be annoyed, sure.

That is just sick and wrong, Magnus! You're a coder - you're supposed to drink nothing but coffee and jolt cola! ;)
Actually, to see just what kind of twisted caffeine addicts some (other people, certainly not me) programmers and geeks are....
check this out. No they are not out of stock because of me.

Cola is just fine (more than fine actually :)), I just try to stay away as much as possible from (sufficient amounts of) substances that are known to cause addictive behavior. So I don't end up using one of those soaps (or worse) one day. ;)
