It would seem, when using "Autotag (from filenames)" in v3.0, MP3TS tries to write a tag to text files in the same directory as MP3s. I tried moving the MP3s, and leaving only a text file in the directory, and MP3TS still tagged the text file!
I used "advanced mode", and the "expected filename format" was set to '<tracknr>.
After a text-file has been tagged that way, it's treated like a normal MP3 afterwards.
I've attached the text-file, after MP3TS tried writing an MP3 tag to it... :)

If you only want the program to tag files with extension ".mp3", you must enter this into the template. This is always done by default when you are operating in non-advanded mode, but in advanced mode you can remove it if you like, just as you seem to have done. Your template should be "<tracknr>.mp3" instead of "<tracknr>" if you only want to tag files with extension ".mp3". Hence, this is not a bug.

Ah, sorry for my haste in reporting this. My mistake. :)
