ive seen this function in Mediamonkey and find it VERY useful when dealing with a bunch of files with no ID3 tags whatsoever.

it would be a very welcome addition to Mp3 Tag Studio.

basically the tool uses the filenames to "guess" the ID3 tag from Amazon.com search functions and then tags the file using the parameters set in the program and also downloads album covers.

you are presented with a list of possible artist/song titles and their closest matches then you can either apply the tags or keep looking  to find a better match if you have an idea of what the albums should be.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have stayed away from such "guessing" features so far, but you never know in a future version... Happy holidays either way! :)
