How can I get MP3 tag studio to rename my directories for me? Is that possible? The help file seems to allude to this possibility but doesn't ever fully explain the process.
for example:
Current:
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
Hoping for:
Beach Boys - 1967 - Pet Sounds
This doesnt seem like a huge deal but when we are talking about 4000 albums it can become a little taxing... any help you can give would be much appreciated.

I have a similar concern and found the other thread to be a dead end.
I suspect that I'm in the same boat, that is no solution.
I am busy reorganizing my mp3 collection. In many cases I have a tree structure which I want to unravel. E.g., a directory named "Beethoven, Symphonies - von Karajan", containing nine (or 10) sub-directories with names of the form "No 1 in C, Op 21". I want to change these sub-directory names to, in this case, "Symphony No 1 in C, Op 21 - von Karajan", and move them into a directory named "Beethoven, Ludwig von". I would be happy to move the nine directories out of there current place to the new directory by hand, but every thing I try creates the new sub-directory inside the old one. Thus I have to move the nine files individually. This is a pain (particularly for Hadyn with 104 symphonies!
Does anyone have a solution to this, other than not changing my mind as to how the directories should be named and organized?
Or am I stuck with this behaviour?

If you use absolute path mode there should be no problems with directories created inside directories.
Please give me a full example case, ans also explain in more detail exactly how it does not behave the way you want, and I will try to help you.

You almost got it right, here follows the correct templates for this operation.
Input:
<TRASH>, <Custom1><\><Custom2>, <Custom3><\><Title>.mp3
Output:
G:\Classical<\>Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus<\><Custom2> for Horn, <Custom3>, <Custom1><\><Title>.mp3
