The Windows I/O error 30 means that there was an error reading data from the source drive, so I would not rule out the possibility of a local problem with your computer (hardware or software). There might be some problems with writing ID3v2 tags to really large files in Mp3/Tag Studio sometimes though (if you don't have enough free ram memory for example), but this should not get you an I/O error 30 in any case, so I'm not sure what might cause this for you.
