Maximize buttons require a good rearrange-scheme of the controls in the affected windows for it to be useful. Such rearrangement code has showed to cause problems with certain operating system settings, so it's nothing that should be added "unnecessarily" since it reduces the compatibility of the program with many systems. It also requires unnecessary work that can be used for other, more useful, things. The main window already has such rearrangement code though, but there is sadly another problem with that one. :ashamed:
