-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: Has the Ad-Ware been removed or not? started by hesterloli Posted by: hesterloli on Sep. 03 2005,04:01 Thanks. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 03 2005,12:03 Just like the download page says, there is no adware or spyware or anything like that in Mp3/Tag Studio whatsoever. All it has is a banner that is just a plain image, that is displayed to users that did not register, so you are completely safe, don't worry. Posted by: hesterloli on Sep. 03 2005,16:06 OK thanks. An image in the application that is on my system is fine. One that is obtained off the Net is not. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 03 2005,16:22 Yep I agree. But don't worry, the image is compiled into the application. Posted by: hesterloli on Sep. 07 2005,04:12 I am not sure how to say this but I feel fooled. When I clicked Help about there was a ad window that appeared above and I could not close it. Now I know what this stuff is and I'd like you to tell me how to get it out. This is usually a result of cydor dlls. Do I have that in my machine now? Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 07 2005,08:18 I assume you're talking about the normal small window with the banner? It is just the same window with the static image that is showing when you run Mp3/Tag Studio! There is NO THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE WHATSOEVER in Mp3/Tag Studio, and NO ADWARE/SPYWARE! Feel free to scan it with whatever software you like. Just please try to understand that an image with an advertisement message in it does not equal adware/spyware, it is just an image! Posted by: jeff on Sep. 07 2005,08:40 is that guy slow or what? if you don't like it, pay for it. it's not a free application. and if you're so scaref of online ads, get off the internet. end |
