Hi,

I just DLed your wonderful tool, and I really enjoy it.

I created a multi-line comment text in a text editor, and copy&pasted to the Mass Set tags/flags screen.

After the TAG is written, I opened the files with Winamp, and found that something is wrong
[see the attached screenshot piece, it's from Winamp v2.80. Oh, I may have to update?]

I think the problem is that you insert only $0a instead of $0d $0a to the field.

Is it possible to fix this minor issue?

Yes, this is a bug in Winamp. It has been discussed here before, but I can't seem to find that thread now.

Anyway, Winamp writes (and expects) non-standard linebreaks in ID3v2 tag fields. Hence, when it comes upon a tag that contains correct, standard-complying, linebreaks, it displays them incorrectly, just like on your screenshot.

You might want to update to the latest version of Winamp and see if they have fixed it, yes. Otherwise you can report this bug to them.

I did:

But this forum doesn't seem to be very hot...

Ok, good. And well, it's their loss if they don't care...

And yes, it is definitely their mistake, not mine.
Quoted from the ID3v2 standard documents:

"...a new line is represented, when allowed, with $0A only..."
