iTunes stores its volume level information in a "Comment" frame, which has the content description "iTunNORM".  This information does not appear in the Comment field when MP3 Tag Studio reads the tag, but does show up in the advanced ID3v2 info.

Unfortunately MP3 Tag Studio deletes this frame whenever changes are made to the ID3v2 tag.  Can you change this behavior so that the iTunes Comment frame is preserved?

Please send me a sample file where this happens, and I will take a look at it.

Thanks for the file, it seems to be a bug in Mp3/Tag Studio that is triggered when an ID3v2 tag contains a comment frame with a content descriptor but not a "normal" comment frame without a content descriptor. I have noted it for fixing in a future update.

In the meanwhile, a simple workaround is to add a normal comment to the tag (e.g. containing only a space if you still want the comment field to look empty), then the iTunes special comment frame will be preserved for all further processing too.
