Good evening.

My name is Samuel.

I'd like to thank you personally, Magnus Briding - the author, for this program which has literally saved my neck by allowing me to fix ALOT of my MP3 files which weren't Xing VBR-tagged - thos they were crashing my newly purchased Archos 604.. now they don't and play PERFECTLY!

I would like to ask for something though - is it possible, to enable an option that preserves the original file date+time of REPAIRED files and not just tagged/renamed files ?

This would be most helpful for the exact reason as written in your application's help file regarding the Preserve file date on tagged and renamed files option.

Thank you for your help.

Samuel.

I'm glad you like Mp3/Tag Studio. :) The feature you mention is already noted for implementation in future versions, so please stay tuned...

Hello Magnus,

Well I have the opporsite problem :-)

When I change the File Tags, is there at present (3,5 Rev 17) any way to force the file date to change?

I have 1 TB of music and I backup to 3 times 500 GB USB2 disks, the program goes by filesize or filedate or both. But when I change the tags on a file or set of files, they don't change and the new files don't get 'backed' up.

Regards Leif.

Sure, simply uncheck the following option in the global settings:

General tagging and renaming ---> Preserve file date on tagged and renamed files
