Is there a way to scan a bunch of files (preferably in directorys) for files with bad VBR Headers?

At the moment (as far as I know) you need to check each file in the Browse/Edit tab, and not the ones with red flagged information.  Since you have to select the files in the repair window you have to note them down, since you can't have both tabs open at once.

What would be REALLY nice would be a "repair any files that need it".

Repairing the VBR header of "any files that need it" would include scanning the file contents to see if they're a VBR files without a VBR header, and in that case it would take exactly the same time as performing the current option "Only process real VBR files" in the repair tool.

Sure, you could include an additional option for only repairing files that already have a VBR header that is broken/incorrect, but this would skip all VBR files that do not have any VBR header at all but still need one, and this would confuse and mislead a lot of people I'm afraid. :(

See what I mean?

Fair enough, but I thought that the help document recommeded only running the repairs on bad files, or was I misreading an injunction to not run it on non-VBR files?

If the later, the only change I would request would be to allow a "process sub-directorys" check box.

The recommendation to only repair bad files is not for the VBR-header fix, but rather for the CRLF type. Sorry if this was not clear in the help.

I'll go back and read it again and see if it is truly ambiguous, or just my poor comprehension.

But, back to the problem at hand, is there any chance of a "include sub-directories" in the repair tab?

Hehe, yep, it's on the list indeed, just not on the top of it. ;)

And congrats to your 100:th post btw, and the promotion that came with it. :)
