Hello, i've just installed BC under Windows XP Pro. When I switch to my normal User-Account (non Admin rights) BC will not work. How can I get my BC work prober with other non admin accounts?

Best Regards

In exactly what way does it not work? What happens?

When BC is started from a normal user account it stated:

If you want to run Bookmark Converter from a non-local-disk (e.g. a network drive), or on a computer in which it has not been proberly installed, you will need to purchase a company license for it.

BC is installed by (me) the admin of this local machine under Windows XP Pro. With another account (normal user account) I get this message. Note - it's the same machine. BC is not installed on a NTFS partition.

Some other piece of software I use ask me during the installation whether the software should installed for the current or for all users of the machine. Isn't this possible with BC?

Best Regards

I'll think about that, thanks. Until then, you could always install a separate copy for each user account I guess.

Unfortunately not. You need Admin rights to install the software and (I think because of the registry settings) after the first install it isn't possible to install it for another user (I dont know how).

Hope you will release another version with multi-user support.

 Here's a workaround:
(It's late and my translation from German might not be 100% correct, but you'll find out:)
Edit the 'settings' of the link to Bookmark Converter in your start menu, and click the 'advanced...' button on the 'link' tab. Check 'run with other user credentials'.
Each time you start Bookmark Converter, you will now be asked for the Administrator password.
