I don't know if you ever said that this utility absolutely had to be for the PC only.  With a significant move to the Mac [either alone or in combination] there is an increasing need (want) for a utility which converts Bookmarks between these platforms.  Seems to me Bookmark Converter is the answer.

Also, I read your "invitation" to this forum.  Remember, I've known you a long time so don't threaten me or I'll tell your parents on you.  <grin>

At least in earlier versions the Mac edition of Netscape (and IE too I think) have used practically the same format on the bookmark data as in the PC versions. You cannot run Bookmark Converter on a Mac, but it might very well work to convert the files on the PC, and then copy the resulting files to the Mac. Shouldn't hurt to try anyway.

Also, I have no idea about what this "invitation" is that you're talking about, please explain.

The PC bookmarks do not work if directly transferred to the Mac.  I think it has something to do with CR/LF.  One seems to
use the Carriage Return/Line Feed while the other just uses one of them.  I'm told it is simple .... if you understand it.

I was picking up on the joke in your message here:

Bookmark Converter handles all types of CR/LF sequences, but it outputs the PC type, yes. One easy way to convert this output file to the Mac CR/LF type is to FTP it to the Mac from the PC using ASCII mode (or FTP it to and intermediate server first and then down to the Mac). After that the file should be fully valid.

And about the hitman, damn, he should have caught up with you by now, preventing you from asking all these tiresome follow-up questions. This will be coming from his salary... ;)
