Magnus,
How about the ability to save 'favourite folders', that would appear at the top of the directory tree? Instead of having to browse for an alternate folder all the time, you could just click straight onto a 'saved' folder.

In that case I'd rather put them in a drop-down to the main working directory textbox, but sure, it's been suggested before and it is a possibility for a future version. :)
