-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: Mp3tag studio bug.. started by Crusty Posted by: Crusty on Mar. 06 2006,00:34 When i startup mp3/tag studio 3.5, first i get the following error: The dynamic link library gdiplus.dll could not be found in the specified path (then it lists my path) When i click ok, it starts up just fine. My system: w2k sp4 just updated and installed yesterday, fresh install. Athlon sempron 2500 socket A 1 GB ram, 200 GB maxtor pata, radeon 9500 pro, Terratec Aureon Fun soundcard, onboard sis900 nic, sis 746 chipset. Installed software includes quicktime and realtime alternative, and openoffice 2.0 Just so you know. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Mar. 06 2006,23:16 Very strange, this has never been reported before by anyone, and Mp3/Tag Studio also doesn't use any DLLs that should not be present on all Windows systems. My guess would be either system corruption of your Windows installation, or infection by spyware/virus or similar that has corrupted your Mp3/Tag Studio installation (problems related to this have been reported before on this board). Please let me know if you come up with anu further details though. I receiver the same error message, after clicking several time on "OK" it disappears, but reappears occasinally while running the program. Any solution yet? By the way, thanks to Magnus Brading for this great software, it's really useful! Greetings,Markus ---------------------QUOTE------------------- Hi again, I just searched for the gdiplus.dll and found it in the .NET-Directory. After copying the file to the MP3TagStudio folder, the error disappeared. But shouldn't MP3TS be able to locate this dll in the corresponding folder itself? Greetings, Markus Posted by: Magnus Brading on Mar. 26 2006,23:36 Hmm, a .NET DLL... This might be an effect of a badly implemented Explorer shell extension installed in your computer (which is in turn activated by the Explorer tree view in Mp3/Tag Studio). There is no such links to this DLL in Mp3/Tag Studio itself anyway. Please try to find this shell extension, and report this problem to its author. end |
