I have just installed TS version 3.0x, so this might be in version 3.5 already. Also just seaerched through half of the suggestions in this forum...
It seems that if you synchronize id3v2 and id3v1 tags and use a non-id3v1-genre, the id3v1 genre gets empty. It would make much more sense if you could define the alternative id3v1-genre in program interface -> additional genres. E.g. when you add worldmusic as id3v2-genre, you should also be able to add national folk as alternative id3v1-genre to let TS know how to synchronize.
