is there (or will there be) a way for the program to not only rename the files, but resort them into corrisponding folders (by creating them if nessicary)

Sure, this has been possible for a long time, simple use the directory template fields (i.e. <\>, accessible from the "Add dir" button) in the auto rename tool. Please read more about this in the help file, and also take a look at the "Absolute path mode" feature.

oh! haha im an idiot, i jumped to the concvlusion that the </>  would add the dir to the file name
