Yes, I have added 2 or 3 custom genres - I should have mentioned this. It does not seem to matter whether I select custom or preset genres, however. I will try deleting the custom genres and see if that affects the behaviour.
Update: the custom genres appear to have something to do with this. I deleted them from Settings, restarted MP3TS, and the issue did not occur after multiple reproduction attempts. I then added one custom genre, exited and restarted. At first I could not reproduce the issue. I added another custom genre and retested. Still no issue. Then I figured it out. Now if I can just explain it
1) I added a custom genre named 'classics' 1a) If I select any genre that precedes 'classics' alphabetically, the issue will not appear. 1b) If I select any genre that follows 'classics' alphabetically, then choose another tab before exiting, the genre in Mass set tags/flags will be 1 lower in the list. Example: selected 'Ethnic', switched tabs and exited. Genre on restart was 'Euro-House'
2) I then added a custom genre named 'technoise' 2a) If I select any genre that precedes 'classics' alphabetically, the issue will not appear. 2b) If I select any genre that follows 'classics' alphabetically, then choose another tab before exiting, the genre in Mass set tags/flags will be 1 lower in the list. 2c) If I select any genre that follows 'technoise' alphabetically, the genre in Mass set tags/flags will be 2 lower in the list. Example: selected 'Trailer', switched tabs and exited. Genre on restart was 'Tribal'
So it seems to be an issue of displacement by the custom genres. But we do know for sure that MP3TS can survive dozens of exits and relaunches without causing problems
