Quote | One would be to allow casefix to have all capital letters, even if the word happens to be of, to, or something else that small. For example, if the song was called one of my lies(Green Day song )... Your casefix would make it One of my Lies or something similiar to that, however I know some users, including myself would prefer to have it all casefixed (One Of My Lies). I like to keep everything orderly, so I try to avoid lower case letters in anything. |
This can be done easily, as follows: Go into the casefix settings, choose the "Advanced" capitalization mode and then remove all the words from the list called "Not to be capitalized". That will do exactly what you're asking for. You can also save these new settings as a preset, for easy access later.
Quote | Next I think it would be a lot easier if there was an auto "write changes" feature in Browse/Edit Tags and Flags. I tend to edit each one seperately, but then have to take the time to save it, either by hitting enter or by clicking the button. |
Since hitting the enter button is very quick, and since the focus does not change when doing this, my assessment it that it's not worth the added GUI complexity to add such an option. I hope you understand.
Quote | Going along with the last one, I would like to see a quick key coded in to allow you to change to the next song, so that it autosaves and then switches over so you can begin to edit it manually. I think this would make life a whole lot easier for those of us who edit this way, but are sick of having to click the next song down (It throws off concentration). |
This is already possible in two ways (except the auto-save, you have to press enter once first):
1. Use the hotkeys alt-up and alt-down.
2. Press enter one more time, focus will then be switched to the file list, then press the down arrow key, and then use tab or hotkey to get to the desired field.
You can also read more about this in the help file.
Quote | Also I would like a quick way to edit track tags. What I mean is lets say you download an album of music, which has the tracks in the file name (Which means all of the songs are in order, in the select window), but lacks the tracks tagged. I would like to be able to highlight all the songs and click tag the tracks, so it would tag them right down in order. Some songs have weird file names like (1)-whatever-whatever.mp3, (2)-whatever-whatever.mp3, so it would be nice to quickly tag them since they are all in order. |
First of all, for files where the tracknumber is in the filename, I would always recommend to parse it out with the auto-tag feature. In your example above it can be done easily, e.g. with the template "(<TrackNr>)<TRASH>.mp3".
For cases when the filename does not contain any track number either, or if you still insist on not using the auto tag tool, please see this FAQ entry.
