-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Suggestions +---Topic: avoid multiple file endings started by emu Posted by: emu on Aug. 31 2005,00:34 i think, the tag studio is a great tool, but perhaps it would be possible to incloud a multiple-file-ending-detection (i don't know if "file ending" is the correct expression in english - what i mean is the ".mp3" part of the filename) into the autorename function? because it can easily happen that you get som mp3.mp3- (or worse: ogg.mp3-) endings. similar problem with creating directories from tags in combination with the subdirs option: the new folders should be placed in the working directory instead of beeing created in the allready existing subfolders. (or at least, this should be an avaiable option) Posted by: fudo on Sep. 01 2005,17:41 I'd say a good idea would be not to read files such as .NFO, .JPG, .M3U... in log reports. An other thing would be only to put errors cause it is not springing out from the screen what went bad. or to use bold or colours for bad events. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 02 2005,20:37 Emu, I'm not sure how you can get double extensions in the auto rename tool, since it will only contain the contents and file extensions that you tell it to in the template? To set any file extension you like, simply use the advanced mode and edit the template manually. Fudo, the reason for not just analyzing files based on extension in the list maker tool is because some file might be renamed mp3-files (especially in the old days). The errors and warnings window will show you all errors separately and all warnings separately, and no "positive report messages", don't you have this window activated? It should be activated by default. end |
