Support for additional tag formats like e.g. ogg are on the todo-list for future versions, yes.

Does this include support for the MPC (musepack) that seems to be getting more and more popular everywhere. All my friends are already using it because the sound quality is supposedly better and whenever I trade music with them, they give me the mpc's and they use a totally different way to name them than me and it would be much easier if I could use this program that I already have to mass set the filenames from the tags.

I've not heard about this format, so I can't promise anything. For any formats, I always wait until they are quite well-known and widely used before considering implementing them, to preserve development time for the most important things.

Its great format! See there: MPC forum on hydrogenaudio
Musepack is made by Peter Pavlovski, famous for being the foobar2000 developer (AKA "zZzZzZz" on http://www.HydrogenAudio.org ) and others.
#MPC on irc.musepack.net is the place for "support".
hydrogenaudio.org is also great place for info about other audio formats like ogg, acc and lossless (.flac, .ape...).

Any support for .flac files or .ape ?

I'd really like to see support for these 2 formats being they're becoming really popular.

And if soon, how soon is soon ?  :D
