-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: Crashes with "error in frame size calculation" started by austonia Posted by: austonia on Sep. 15 2003,18:12 once in awhile, this is rare, but some mp3's crash the program with an "error in frame size calculation" error. the dialogue box also says "tag may be corrupt". the mp3's play fine. repeated attempts yield same results. i will try another tagging program to see if it is specific to mp3 tag studio. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 16 2003,17:34 Just like the error message says, this indicates that the ID3v2 tag of the mp3 file in question is in some way corrupt, or not fully compatible with the ID3v2.x specification. This problem would originate from the program that wrote the ID3v2 tag to the file in question in the first place. Also, a file can very well still be playable, even though it contains corrupt tag information. end |
