Hi magnus and other people

I am having some troubles with this excellent program.
Well.. it just doesn't execute, it doesn't open. I go in the  windows explorer and click the Mp3tagstudio.exe... and nothing happens, not even an error message appears.., try to use the start menu shortcut.... and  nothing...

The same thing happens when i try to use it from the shell explorer extension... nothing happens, absolutely nothing.

I already uninstalled, rebooted, installed an older version, uninstalled, installed new version again, deleted the registry folder and...

Well, can somebody help me?

Thanks

Dilson

What Windows version are you using?

Also, the name of the real executable is not the one you mention, are you sure you have installed "the right" Mp3/Tag Studio?

Hi Magnus,

I'm already 3,5 year a happy TagStudio user
But since I did the update today my programm isn't working anymore. I used till this morning the beta 1.

I uninstalled the complete programm and did a full installation but still without results. Uninstalled it again and cleaned manually the windows register and tried another install.

The shell functions like retag and rename are still working.
But if I wanna open the programm it isn't working and nothing happens.

If I check the tast manager while starting the programm just a second sysfader apears, but no further action.

I use XP pro sp1

I hope this helps you and me to get MP3TagStudio running again normally. If you need more info plse contact me.

regards
Frederick

Are you running it in unregistered mode?

Did anyone else experience this in a non-Vista system?

I'm a registered user

Please try a full uninstall, delete all possible remaining files in the installation folder, and try to install it again. This sounds very strange, and there has been no other reports of such a thing, so my best guess at this point would be that the problem is somehow local to your computer.

Nope still without result. But how is it possible without installing any other programm nor change register or what else, and just doing an update, my system should be not working with it anymore...

Strange local problems like this can usually be incompatibility with some other installed software, like e.g. antivirus or similar, but also other types of software. Not to mention virus infections etc.

I see that you're still using MS Windows XP with SP1. Maybe you get your solution if you upgrade to SP2?
