Greetings!
Opera have a special codepage for russian letters in bookmark file.
When I converting my Opera type bookmarks to FireFox type bookmarks I have a strange symbols in it.
I will send You results of convertion on demand.

Yes, codepages containing multi-byte characters are not currently supported in Bookmark converter, sorry about that.
