-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: Write date created/modified to composer tag (TCOM) started by dez93_2000 Posted by: dez93_2000 on Oct. 06 2010,00:34 Dear all, I use ID3v2's composer tag (TCOM) to store the date that I added the track(s) to my collection, thereby being easily able to search this field on my ipod or with my music player if i'm so minded. I've got loads of missing ones, however, and rather than go through each track or album adding these, it'd be great to be able to write the files' 'date created' data to the composer tag. I write the composer tag as YYYY.MM.DD so it sorts properly. Any ideas how I could do this? Many many thanks in advance. The only thing that will need changing in the list the the "tab" between the date and the path/filename. I simply replaced it with a space in a text editor. This pattern will then set the tag for you. <V2_TCOM-3[|]>.<V2_TCOM-2[|.]>.<V2_TCOM-1[|.]> <Target file AP> After my first post I actually tested it, and the above does work. Don't worry about all the "file to be tagged did not exist" messages, they correspond to the various headers and blank lines. end |
