How can I convert the tags that are used in Real Jukebox Plus to work in Music Match?  When I import my MP3 files into Music Match it either doesn't bring over the artisit name or the Genre or the track name or all of the above and renames it Track 1, Track 2, etc.

Thanks for your help! :

It seems that your Tag fields are not complete.
Have you checked to see if they have both  ID3 tags present?
Ver 1 and ver 2?
You can do this by using the browse/edit tags and flags
Check to see if they are unsynced.

I'd better stop now because I'm starting to sound like I know what I'm talking about
But dont take my word for it. :)

First step might be to see if there are problems with your tags. Use the browse tab in MP3Tag Studio and check out the tags. If they look fine, then MMJ is not importing properly. If they're incorrect or misplaced (track name where the artist should be, etc) you can use Tag Studio to fix them.

Another potential issue is if Real has used some non-standard means of writing the tag data. Hopefully that's not the case.

This is how RealJukebox/One Player handles id3v2:

You import files to RealOne. At this stage, files are left alone.

If the file only has id3v1, and you use RealOne to edit a field to a non1d3v1 standard E.g. non std genre, it will add a id3v2 tag with the change in it, but all other fields willl be blank.

If you edit any files info, it will add/modify a huge GEOB in the id3v2 tag which contains all the info which realone holds. Some of which will not be in id3v2.

Basically it makes a huge mess. It also will read Lyrics3 one import if id3v2 is not available, but it will not modify the lyrics3.

BTW, i havent tested this with RealOnePlayer v2, as I dont plan to upgrade..

"but all other fields willl be blank" was meant to be "but all other id3v2 fields willl be blank".

At the end of the day, realone/jb is not a good prog to use as a media manager.
