I am not running any unmounted network drive. When MP3 TagStudio starts, I get this: "Warning: Error reading main datafile, using defaults!" When closing, I get this: "Warning: Error writing current settings to main datafile. Settings will not be saved." I deleted the mp3ts.dat file as you instructed, but I still get the same errors. It's aggraviting to have to reset everything each time I use the program. It did not originally do this, so I assumed some corrupted file some place. Uninstalled the program, then reinstalled. Didn't help. Still get the same errors. Thanks for any help, George W. Durman (BTW, I love the program. It has saved me countless hours.) Posted by: Magnus Brading on April 15 2003,12:41 It sounds quite strange that it happens every time, even if you have deleted the file. ![]() The following are the two most common reasons for this error message: 1. Your system is low on "user resources" (i.e. you are using Windows 9x/ME and have several resource-hungry programs open at the same time). Which operating system are you using? 2. The permissions for the Mp3/TS install directory are set in a way that you cannot write to the file. I have never heard of anyone not being able to remedy the situation by making sure both of the above points are ok though. ![]() end |
