I've downloaded some .mp3 files an I want to rename them. The problem is that when I want to change the tags I get the message in the Browse/Edit Tags & flags option:
Unable to extract info from file

What can it be and how can this be resolved?

How this was ripped and tagged? I do not know. How can I find that? Reading header?

Try the "Remove junk data before first mp3 frame" mode of the "Repair Mp3" tool (in the "File Tools" tool set). The type of file corruption that this fixes can cause the problem you describe.

Magnus,

Tried that. No luck.

In the "ID3 Tag info" field still error: Unable to extract mp3 info from file.

In the "Mp3 info for file" filed error: Unable to extract mp3 info from file.

Ok, if you send me a (small) sample I can take a quick look if you want.
