I can hardly do anything with this one mp3 file I have.

How do I fix it?????

I want to fix the TLEN field of ID3v2 version 3, but when I try to do it, I get this error, "unable to extract mp3 info."

I have tried everything.

HELP!!!!!! :ashamed:

Ok, I'm glad it worked out. :)

Would you care to share what the problem was, to help other people having the same problem?

You know, I have been going at this for so many hours that I have completely forgotten how I did it.

Now I have the same problem and I can't figure it out.   :ashamed:

If you send me a sample file having this problem, I can analyze it for you and tell you what's wrong if you like?

This mp3 file is 110 MB.

Do you have a FTP where I can upload it?

I don't think E-mail supports files this large.

Ok, maybe we can wait until you find a little smaller sample. :)

The only other mp3 file I have which has this same problem is at a filesize of 49MB.

Will you accept this one?

What I can do is put these mp3 files on my ftp so you can download them and or break them up into smaller parts with Winrar...

If not, then I have wasted all those hours tinkering with your program for NOTHING.

Sure, if you mail me the address of your FTP and I can download it and have a look.

I have sent the FTP information to yopur E-mail address:

<removed by admin>

Subject: The bad mp3 file is on my FTP

BTW: You must use Winrar 3 or later to extract the archive.

If you do not, it will give you an error.

You can get the latest Winrar at http://www.rarlab.com

I have also put the mp3 file itself on the FTP if you have a problem with Winrar.

Please reply.

Ok, I've analyzed your file, and the problem is that it is not a real mp3 file, but an "Albumwrap" archive (look here for more info about this).

These archives should supposedly be "mp3 compatible", but apparently are not. The implementation of this format seems pretty crappy overall to me anyway.

You can probably download the program that can be found at the link above and extract the files. Then you should be able to tag them (if that program doesn't mess them up even more anyway).
