Also, I've been adjusting the volume so there is no clipping. I found that MP3Gain works well for this. The source is free - have you thought about adding this capability ? Thanks samana Posted by: Magnus Brading on Aug. 08 2004,19:35 I have considered it before, but because there were many more things that I thought had higher priority, it got placed a bit far down on the todo list. But sure, it's on the list after all, so I may implement it in a future version. ![]() Posted by: ATWindsor on Aug. 29 2004,22:00 ---------------------QUOTE BEGIN------------------- I have considered it before, but because there were many more things that I thought had higher priority, it got placed a bit far down on the todo list. MP3Gain is the one to follow as I think this is the best implementation of "normalizing" I have seen, heard, used ,etc. Cool.............. Posted by: Chris on Sep. 12 2004,00:06 One thing I noticed about MP3 Gain (and I love that program), is that after using it on all my VBR mp3s, all of them need the VBR header correction or whatever it's called. Before MP3 Gain they're ok, but afterwards they need it. Can anyone comment on this? Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 12 2004,00:50 My guess would be that it either adds some tag data to the file, hence altering its size, or messes up the VBR header if it believes it is a normal mp3 frame that needs to be "gained". end |
