First I wanted to say this is a great program. Don't care to count how many hours I've spent tagging songs manually.

I just started using the program, and I've been able to manipulate most of the files how I like, expect for a few small things.

I download several mp3s from various sources, and almost all of them come as Artist - Title. I like them to be number-artist_name-title.

I currently have the - set as the separator, which causes problems with artists such as T-Pain and Ne-Yo (these guys are all over urban music, don't hold it against me!;) when tagging, so my title tag is usually something like Pain-Go Hard (Remix) or Yo-coke Side of Life. It also messes up the artist tags.

Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance for any help.

I understand the problem, and the best solution to solve it in a generic way is to start using " - " or "_-_" as separator instead. This will of course require an initial effort, but it will pay off in the end I'd say.

After some careful consideration, I figured out a method that works well so far. Instead of first renaming files so they look like 01-t-pain-voice_coder (which causes the problem with the artist name and separator) I tag from the file name first when the format is <artist> - <title>. When the separator is " - " is takes care of all the name issues. Not sure anyone is as #### about their mp3 tags, but just thought I'd share my solution.

Thanks for the help!
