Hi, I often view my mp3s by date, and it would be handy to have the option not to change the timestamp of a file when the tag info is altered in mp3TagStudio. I don't know how tricky this would be to achieve...

Not tricky at all actually, simply go into the main settings (File menu --> Settings) and check the option "Preserve file date on tagged and renamed files" in the "General tagging and renaming" category of settings. ;)
