Looks like Opera 7 doesn't seem to care where these personal bar bookmarks are located, just their attributes, so a combined solution should work. It could get really ugly, though. FWIW here are some thoughts. Converting from IE to Opera is easy, create the Personal Bar folder, but also set the attribute to have the bookmark appear on the toolbar. But, what would happen when I add a new URL to the toolbar in Opera? The new bookmark is added to the root level, not the folder. When I convert from Opera to IE, would the code have to parse all the bookmarks, since toolbar bookmarks can appear anywear, for the set attribute and have those appear in IE's "Links" folder? Then when converting from IE back to Opera, would the bookmark at the root level, created in Opera, be just a normal bookmark, without the attribute set. There may be a case where the propogation of duplicate bookmarks occurs, but I don't see how to avoid it. Also, BMC has a built in dupe finder, so proper use of the tool on the user side would keep things clean.
