Why doesn't it set the V1 tag as well? Posted by: Magnus Brading on June 01 2003,13:15 Due to the specifics of the ID3v1 specification, it is only possible to set the v1 genre to any of the exact genres that are listed in the genre drop-down box in Mp3/Tag Studio. If you try to set any other custom genre, it can only be set in the ID3v2 tag, and thus the ID3v1 tag genre field is left blank.
