Hi,
I am using the latest version (3.5 beta16) as registered user and experience the following problem:
When using the "Mass set tag" feature and "mass modify" the "Artist" field the original "Artist" value is not replaced by the new one, but the "Artist" field will then show the original name plus the new one as follows:
- Original Artist = "Beach Boys"
- Corrected Value = "Beasty Boys"
After using "Mass set tag" the new artist field will show:
"Beach BoysBeastyBoys"
Any ideas?

At the end of the line where you added the new artist name, there are three radial bullet choices: 1) prepend, 2)overwrite, 3) append. You obviously have selected 3) where you wanted 2).

I never paid attention to these radio buttons and had never read the online help by moving the mouse over it...
Good to have a forum with knowledgeable people here.
