(this started in another thread "Out of Memory", but this is a slightly different subject so I start a new thread)
mp3ts has a problem with "corrupt" tags, with a few crashes with a few different messages. In some situations, the tags can be deleted in mp3ts, sometimes other programs must be used. The following is a variant where mp3ts can modify the tag _once_, after this nothing can be done. (The tag could well be "corrupt" in the first place, but mp3ts can handle it then, but not after writing once)
1. Started Audacity 1.3 b1, recorded 30s of silence. 2. Set a label in the beginning (ctrl-B), select File->"Export multiple to mp3" (lame dll installed) 3. When exporting, you can choose between either v1 or v2 tags. I Selected idv2 tags, enterred dummy data. 4. Edited the file in mp3ts. Direct edit correctly displays the dummy files I set and that there are only v2 tags. Setting is to write to both v1 and v2. I changed one tag, then exited mp3ts 5. Opened the file in mp3ts again. Direct edit displays no tags, only that v1 and v2 is unsynced. Tried "Mass clean up tags" with only this file selected, removing both v1 and v2. Got Out of memory
I can provide the files if required. (they are too big too post)
