Hi, Magnus, and thank you again for this excellent piece of software.

I like how the Mass Set tool always shows the last entries made but sometimes I think it would be preferable to be able to completely clear all fields, including the Advanced ID3v2 fields, with a simple clear button.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned in the past and, if such an option is already there, feel free to beat me over the head with the cluebat.  :)

By the way, thank you for including a track number option in the filter in 3.05!

I'm not quite sure how much functionality this would really add.

If you don't want to include a certain field you simply uncheck its checkbox, and if you want to enter some new information in a field you check its checkbox and tab to the field. As soon as the field gets focus, the text in it is selected, hence causing it to be deleted at the first new letter you type. This in turn causes the total number of keystrokes you would save by using this feature to be... zero. :) Not to mention that it will cause an extra mouseclick or hotkey to use this clear function, actually adding work for you instead, and also increasing the GUI complexity a bit. ;)

The only situation I can think of where it can have any potential gain at all is if you are tagging comments and titles like "To my sweet girl Jessie, with whom I'm having an extra-marital affair", and your wife walks into the room all of a sudden. ;)

*putting back the cluebat into the bag*

But maybe you can give me a better reason? :p

Haha!!  :D  I, uh... actually, no, Magnus. I can't give you a better reason. lol! You're absolutely right, I just didn't stop to think of it that way! Better yet, I was just used to selecting the text with the mouse rather than instinctively hitting the tab key. *nod*

You are simply amazing for this piece of softare, and I never hesitate to jump in with a link to the website when someone asks about taggers (in the alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.* usenet groups). The thing is a perfectly orchestrated dance of efficiency -- I mean that. Can't praise you enough!

Take care.
