hello

i know that, and i know why, you can't use the "repair tools" with subdir's or something...
the problem is that all that i want to do is remove junk data before first mp3 frame in all my files... i never had any problem using this, is there anyway?

if no... is there any other software that can do this? i really don't feel like doing it directory by directory

thanks for your time

As you say, the repair tools can't process subdirs. But you could always move all your files to the same directory with the direct rename files tool in absolute path mode, then do a repair and then do an undo with the direct rename files tool again. This should have the same effect and work.

I strongly recommend that you backup all your files before performing any kind of repair operation on your entire collection though!

PS.
Please don't use "brading software" as your forum handle, people might think you're part of the staff.

could you please explain "move all your files to the same directory with the direct rename files tool in absolute path mode"

and if after  that i do a remove junk, won't it undo the remove junl instead of undo the "move all your files to the same directory with the direct rename files tool in absolute path mode"?

if i select remove tags from files, remove junk... is there anything i should do to mantain my mp3 files? i just them to play well in winamp i uso no other software and i don't need tags

thanks for your time!

What's your problem? Stop using names like "brading software", not to mention "part of the staff" when I tell you that you shouldn't use it because people can think you're part of the staff.

A template like "c:\mp3<\><OldFileName>" in the auto rename tool will move all your files into c:\mp3.

And about the undo, you perform the undo in the auto rename tool, not the repair tool.

And again, always backup your files before attempting any kind of repair operation on them.
